I have panic disorder and no helath insurance, so my Dad bought melotonin and says it’ll calm me down. But so far as I’ve heard, it’s just a sleep aid. Will melotonin calm my anxiety, or just make me sleepy?

I like melatonin When I take it at night, I feel well-rested the following day. I would think it would help with relaxation.
My boyfrind takes Kava for anxiety.
