The Hoftoren
Hoftoren is the tallest developing of the Hague, measuring 142 metres. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands is housed right here. The tower has 29 floors. The nickname of the tower is De vulpen (The fountain-pen)
The Design
The Hoftoren is created by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in New York City, and built by Heijmans Bouw BV. The top of the developing isn’t utilized for functional purposes.
Folks living nearby are complaning about the whistling noise occurring by sturdy winds.
The Castaliatoren = Castalia [ Toren = Tower ]

‘Castalia’ in The Hague houses the headquarters for The Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport in the Netherlands. It is one component of a master plan named ‘De Resident’, a mixed-use development of office buildings and housing that involves both new construction and renovation. The 29215-square-metre project for the Ministry involved re-cladding a 1950′s developing of jack-slab construction, replacing the creating core, and adding two annexes along Zwarteweg, one forming a gate to a new courtyard and the other finishing the street façade among Castalia and Zurich Tower. The planar wall surfaces, fenestration patern, and new peaked roofs of the ‘twin towers’ recall the character of standard Dutch architecture and establish Castalia as a landmark in the city (text from architect’s website).

Distinctive hexagonal skyscraper
This hexagonal tower, a corporate headquarters creating in the central city, has twenty floors and is 88 metres tall. The master strategy of this area by Robert Krier (in cooperation with Sjoerd Soeters) determined the color and supplies. This master plan extended the central city into an region that had been bombed throughout Globe War II. A quantity of architects collaborated in this development.
